Homestead Cooking Camp at Mountain Vista Fire cooking basics. Simple meals. Food safety. At Mountain Vista, campers ages 7-11, learn how to prepare real food from the ground up. Using fresh ingredients, they will explore simple cooking methods, including basic fire cooking, while gaining confidence in the kitchen. Children will learn how to make nourishing meals, understand the importance of food safety, and experience the satisfaction of creating and enjoying what they’ve made. This camp is about building practical skills, connecting food to the land, and learning how to cook with simplicity and care.
