Service Description

Step into our kitchen at Mountain Vista camp and embark on a hands-on culinary adventure! Our kids' cooking course will focus on creating delicious homemade foods that are good for you. We will look at fermented foods and their benefits, like homemade artisan sourdough pizza, creamy yogurt with fresh fruit topping, and refreshing fruity ice cream. From kneading the dough to topping off your pizza with a creative twist, your child will love gathering the veggies and herbs right from the garden. They'll learn where the food they eat comes from as well as valuable culinary skills, all while having a blast. Join us for a fun and tasty experience that will ignite a lifelong love for healthy cooking and nutritious eating. We will be incorporating fermented foods like sourdough and ginger bug natural sodas, flavored yogurts and ice creams, as well as creative snacks with seasonal fruits and vegetables. The daily schedule and specific foods will be determined as kids sign up, in case any campers have specific dietary restrictions. We will share the schedule via email, so be sure to sign up for further correspondence!
